Brutalism

is a form of non sympathetic, square, harsh architecture.
It is very prevalent in Ireland, in my opinion.

Take this example of Bray Sea-Life Aquarium which stands out like a sore thumb on the seafront.  I struggle to find anything positive to say about it.

In fact, it's brutal.  (When you say that in Dublin, you would put lengthy emphasis on the 'u' ....    as in broooootle
