Drama Above the Pond

This Red-shouldered Hawk, a frequent visitor to our pond, was on the hunt for frogs...The squirrel, with a morbidly dangerous curiosity kept crossing back and forth on a limb behind the hawk. Since 'squirrel' apparently wasn't on today's menu, the little tree-rat felt emboldened. No squirrels or frogs were eaten in the production of this photo! hahaha ;)

Tomorrow, I catch a 6:00am flight to Atlanta and then another to Phoenix. I'll be joining the BOBB group for our Blipmeet in Arizona.
