Back-blipped...

Went to a very random museum today...full of art installations that looked more like people had just forgotten to tidy up after themselves. It was also full of people looking intently at piles of random objects while nodding their heads and making impressed type sounds. And on top of this there were 'marathon runners' randomly running up and down a long windowed corridor...how is that 'art'?!?
There was also a 2D loo-roll pyramid and a rather phallic display of cacti. A room full of multi-coloured balloons that should have been blue, and a tiny set of fairy-sized lifts. A sort of upside down ships hull that I almost got lost inside, and two totally life-like giants at the beach...
In one room an elderly lady very nearly ran her walker over a pile of half-eaten red apples (not real) which were scattered about on the floor (three times!) - I thought the museum helper was going to have a coronary! Then the granddaughter of the walker-wheeling lady asked him if the apples were actually arranged in a specific way...to which he replied through gritted teeth 'Yes madam...it's art!'
Well...that was it. The Girlfriend and I were in fits of giggles and had to walk away at some speed before we totally disgraced ourselves! There was a very real risk I might have wet myself had we stayed to witness any further apple-carnage - after all, I have had two kids and a hysterectomy!!!

Life is like a room full of metronomes...x
