Unknown shrub

This bloom/fruit belongs to a shrub that appeared in the garden last year for the first time. Not one we planted so I can only assume it arrived via some sort of animal/bird distribution. It now stands about 8 feet with single stems emerging from ground level. Last year the birds seemed to love this "fruit" but today there were no birds but the fly was there in large numbers. Reminds me of a drop earring.
