Jaffna again

I took the train this morning from Anuradhapura to Jaffna. Last time I got the train to Jaffna the train was running late so it was dark on that stretch of the journey. It was good to see it in daylight this time. And the train was on time so I arrived about midday.


Monday and Tuesday are the weekend for my friends so in the afternoon we went to the beach. The sea there is more like a lake, very shallow and some of it felt like the same temperature of a bath! It was a lovely afternoon. While we were swimming, we saw some shoals of fish jumping out of the water not that far away. I made my friends stop on the drive back so I could get some shots of sunset from the causeway.
