Ballet

Tonight S and I went to a performance by the Royal New Zealand Ballet. The first half was a short ballet "L'Arlesienne", created by Roland Petit to music by Bizet, which had been composed as incidental music to a play of the same name.

The main ballet for the evening was also created by Petit, and again was set to music by Bizet. The Carmen Suite. Especially this second ballet was dramatic and beautifully danced. A lovely evening out.
