Catalina Mountains - Arizona

We left Tucson Arizona early this morning and drove north through the Catalina Mountains. The 2 hour drive via Mt. Lemmon highway takes you from a starting point of ~3000 feet above sea level and ends at ~8000 feet above sea level.    

Flowers were in bloom everywhere and most of the trees and shrubs had bright green leaves. Topped by the blue skies, puffy white clouds, and comfortable temperatures (65 at ~3000 ft and 43 at 8000 ft), this was an almost picture perfect day.  

If you are ever in the Tucson area,  you should plan on spending a full day exploring this unbelievably beautiful area.
