This is not a joke!

At first I thought this was an April 1 joke. But no- it's genuine!

Airthrey Kerse castle, the centre for language teaching in Stirling University , has this notice in the entrance hall.

Peter Russell, a well known local artist and lecturer , spotted it the other day when he visited the castle and was so horrified he wrote to our local paper, the Stirling Observer.

Today it carries his story along with his original letter protesting that it does not give a good impression to visitors.

The university have  yet to comment.

I must admit it does seem very high-handed especially when we know that some students do not speak any English,  and receive their lectures in mandarin.
