Inside Inverness Cathedral

I managed to get a few housework chores done this morning while keeping an eye on the flights as Kate64 was on her way up here for a few days.
I caught the bus and met up in the Hotel. We had a natter and then went out exploring Inverness.
We walked through the Victorian Market and down to Leakeys Bookshop, Scotlands Second Largest Bookshop with books in every nook and cranny, packed from floor to ceiling with old, used books. A large log burner warmed us up and I could imagine a character from Hogwarts appearing from  a pile of books searching for an old book on Spells.
The rain had started when we came out but we wandered through the grave yard , past  the rather haunting Robertson Mausoleum. The first gravestone we came to belonged to a bookseller.
On to the Tourist Information where we saw some lovely coloured  jewellery made from the stems of heather.
Over Ness Bridge to view the Castle surrounded in Daffodils and along the fast flowing RIver Ness to the Cathedral. Beautiful stained Glass windows and carvings. It always amazes me how colourful the glass is even on  cloudy day.
Finished with a bite to eat and I just about managed to catch the bus before it drove away. A nice journey home through North Kessock and I eaves dropped on a conversation by some young ladies about Cromarty being one of the best places to live, They did nt seem so convinced but agreed that it was nice and there was something going on all the time but they did nt go to any of it. They were also talking about the difficulties they will have if they do cut some of the buses.
Been Catching up with the boys this evening and now off to bed.
