Raven
I went out to Deerness and walked from Lighthouses Corner out to Mull Head. I thought I might see my first bonxie of the spring- and I did get one. Lots of shags on nests on the cliffs, no sign of the orcas reported in the adjacent waters. There was a flock of about 130 golden plover and one of about 140 pink-footed geese. Not much sign of small migrants- a single goldcrest and several blackbirds at the lighthouses quarry garden may have been moving through.
