Gilded Malibu

I arrived in LA for a full slate of work but I was rewarded with two unexpected pleasures at the end of the day. The first was that I was able to meet up with my nephew who also happened to be here for business. And the second was the fact that both of us finished our work for the day in time for a delightful sunset round-trip bike ride from Santa Monica to the southern tip of Malibu Bay followed by a wonderful Italian dinner.

If only it were the situation that I could mesh family visits with business trips more often. It certainly would make life on the road one that would be far more delightful.
