Mrs Duck had been resting - until yours truly blundered down the five yard bank to the quiet pond by the pull-in where dozens of motorists stop and rest each day.

Last day of rest for us (not Mrs Duck, whom I hope returned to her future brood soon). We start the kitchen refurb on Monday. Even as I back-blip, I reflect that I'd underestimated just how busy.
