Smew

As it was such a lovely day today (21c and sunny), G suggested going to Pensthorpe and shopping this afternoon. I'd been planning to sit in the garden with a book after doing a couple of hours digging this morning (planting a 6m long pyracantha hedge) and some painting, but a walk sounded lovely. I don't know if I was knackered from the digging or struggling with the sudden heat, but I had no energy at all - although the mint choc chip ice cream at the end of the walk did help!!! :)

I loved the markings on this Smew and its crest - a diving duck I've not noticed before. Lots of flowers and blossom out as well, just glorious.
