Burrowing Owls

What a great day today with a wonderful group of blippers!  We started at 6:30 this morning with a quick breakfast and then went to the Gilbert Water Ranch Riparian Preserve.  We saw lots of birds and waterfowl, many that were new to me so that's always exciting!  While we were there, one of our group got a tip about where we might find burrowing owls so some of us went there and we were lucky to find this pair sunning themselves on a perch that was marking their burrow.

So, once again I'm falling asleep at the computer.  Thank you to everyone who visited yesterday and left comments and stars & hearts for my Colorado mountain blip.  I appreciate everything even though I'm too tired to reply individually. :-)
