The Village of Worsthorne

I have driven through the tiny village of Worsthorne, near Burnley, and visited both its public houses on many occasions over the years, but never nosed into its various nooks and crannies.   This afternoon we did just that and one of our many finds was this fascinating handrail outside The Church of St. John the Evangelist.  It was designed by Brian Rourke in 1979, and is decorated with representations of local industry. A fine piece of craftsmanship.
