Full to overflowing

This was Crummock Water today after several days of heavy rain. The lake is brim full and huge volumes of water are pouring over the weir and fish ladders at the northern end of the lake. It's always an exciting place to be in such weather. Enjoying the crashing sound is as much a part of the experience as watching the spectacle. The weather is forecast to dry up from Sunday onwards, just in time for April showers!
