Ms. and Mr. Hung

Meet Ms. and Mr. Hung.

Originated in Hanoi, Vietnam they came to Germany at the end of the 1980's.
Mr. Hung was an army doctor in Vietnam and came into the former GDR as a worker after leaving the army.

The GDR and Vietnam had agreements for letting Vietnamese people work in Germany. After the Wende his wife and his son Hai came to Magdeburg as well. Here another son was born.

Nowadays Ms. and Mr. Hung run a clothing shop, like many other Vietnamese people in Germany as well.

They want to keep their tradition and speak Vietnamese with their children. Perhaps they want to go back to Vietnam after the children finished their education.
