New Yorker Perk

A big dream came true today: seeing New York from Miss Liberty's crown! A perk for New Yorkers, because waiting times can be up to 5 months.The winding stairs all to the top are incredible, very narrow and the construction surrounding you breathes the design by Eiffel (see extra), then flanked by the contours of The Statue of Liberty's dress and face! The crown is tiny and it was amazing to see the city, her hand, the torch so up close. The subsequent visit to the immigrant museum on Ellis Island was also very impressive, especially in this political climate - see extra for the great hall in which all were 'welcomed'. And last but not least, this tour made for great views of this city I have come to love so much.
