Birthday

All balcony doors fully open all night. The sound of birds and waves woke us up at 9am only. Sunny and mild day - better than predicted.

Walked from Gunten uphill to Sigriswil (picture shows the mount Niesen and the village of Spiez at its foot). From there we followed the panoramic trail across a "scary" suspension bridge (340m long, 180m high) to Aeschlen, onwards to Blooch and down to Oberhofen.

Lunch outside at the castle (birthday girl in the extras). Then walking another hour along the lake to Thun and back by bus.

Enjoying the balcony overlooking the lake for the rest of the afternoon with music and a chilled Roero. Massage and sauna at 6pm. And yes, I went into the lake after the sauna - just for 1 minute into the 10° cold water. Birthday dinner starts soon.
