Back to reality...

and yet more expectations thwarted!!! 

We arrived in Halifax at 2 am....got our luggage and headed over to the hotel to sleep for a few hours before driving the 4 hours home.   But, that was not to be!   Lots of phone calls back and forth to home, road not plowed, still storming....not sure if it will be plowed tonight!!!

So we spent an exhausted day in a couple of different places, reading, eating...basically killing time till we had a better chance of getting up our road!!

The drive from Halifax to Cape Breton was brutal and had my nerves in tatters...i'm sure Terry was in the same state.   we headed out around 5pm, and by the time we established that the road had been plowed it was almost 10 pm.   we got home just after 11 and had to wade thro deep snow down our driveway to get home!  not much fun at all.

But the house was warm and we were greeted with love - felt good to finally be home in my own bed!!!
