Walking the tracks

This afternoon we explored a new (to us) pathway. On the road between Dunblane and Doune there is a side road which leads to Argaty, where there is a Red Kite centre. However, we stopped off, parked up at the side of the road and took off along the old railway line. The old track bed has been tarmac covered and is great smooth level walking. Rona loved all the new smells and MaggieD was impressed by all the butterflies fluttering about and enjoying the sunshine.
This rail line came from Stirling and went on fron Doune to Callander then on through Strathyre and on up through the glens to Killin, Crianlarich, Tyndrum and on to Oban. I would have paid good money to trundle along this line behind a little 4-4-0 steam engine!
Later we visited Ali & Euan, took him for a walk and a play in the park then tried to teach him how to play golf. Not quite ready yet!
