Pinhole (EP4)

As promised Markus_Hediger here is my very first attempt at pinhole photography, which I've scanned for your perusal.

I went along to a workshop in 2013 organised by Ingrid Pollard she was the artist in residence at Highgreen at that time. Great lady. On the table before us was a selection of boxes and tins to make our Pinhole Cameras with, mine was a sweetie tin 'See Extra' I painted the inside of the tin black and cut a small square from a piece of copper sheet, I made a tiny pinhole through it and sanded down the back of the hole. This was stuck with gaffa tape over the small hole in the tin lid.  I even made a cardboard lens cap to cover the hole :-)
The problem I had was wedging the camera somewhere so that it wouldn't roll or blow away, it was windy outside and absolutely freezing,  the round shape meant there were limited places where I could wedge it. I found a log and angled it to where I thought I would be in view and sat on the step as still as I possibly could in the freezing cold for a full 'Five Mins' of exposure, then stuck down the cardboard lens cover and went inside to develop the photographic paper that I'd stuck to the bottom of the tin inside.

The second attempt was the sheep skull I found in the field 'See Extra'

The other thing that I would Love to do is This Wet Plate Collodion.

Have a great Sunday and Happy Pinhole'ing.
