Dark blues

A lovely fine day and lots achieved, including some jobs in the garden. The spring bulbs are looking beautiful, including these tulips I planted last year. A good end to the afternoon, too, with a boat race win for Oxford. It is their 80th victory, two fewer than Cambridge, but catching up.

I have always supported the Oxford team, in solidarity with my darling mum. As a child she got a telling off for getting her new shoes wet, and she blamed the practising Cambridge team of the time for rowing past and splashing her!
