Longannet Power station no longer

a coal-fired power station, which closed in March 2016. It looks eerily out over the upper reaches of the Firth of Forth near Kincardine.  We went for a cycle ride from Kincardine to Culross on route 76 and back on a lovely sunny Spring day (bikes in the extra).  In 2007, the WWF named Europe's 30 most climate polluting power stations and, of these, Longannet was the most polluting in the UK (relative to power output). So, I guess it is good riddance..
