Botanical Gardens

I really didn't feel like going out again after coming home this afternoon but I was very glad I did (the dog was pretty glad too!) I had a wander down to the Botanical Gardens and I always forget how much of an oasis it is.  You can still hear the traffic but it's pretty drowned out by all the birds singing.  I think I got a glimpse of the woodpecker flying over.  I was remembering how delighted the kids used to be when our visits coincided with the deer that used to come roaming through the arboretum.
