I am bird, flowers and cactused out!

A little something different today..a collage of some exhibits at the Mesa Art Center..a very contemporary art museum. Only five exhibit rooms but each was unique in its own way. I really enjoyed it. These artists are very creative.

The left upper corner, aspens leaves coated in a beeswax something to preserve them, strung together with fine nylon wire, hanging about 10 feet long.  Really pretty..I can see an aspen leaf project happening this fall when I go to Colorado. 

Upper right, Rebirth..a woman rising through the earth with roots for her feet.  Beautiful!

Lower left..an intricately cutout paper that is all one piece so the the tree roots connect everything. Amazing?.the cuts are so tiny and so perfect.

Lower right..a necklace of copper (I think) and Mealworms!  The worms are coated with something that will preserve them, thank goodness!  

Outside the museum was a musical walking path..anybody driving by would have seen four tourists dancing on the sidewalk. 

Hot in Phoenix today so the museum was a good place to be after leaving the water ranch where we saw more birds and other critters today.
