Have survived the winter INSIDE the garage. I wrapped them in fleece and they have been fine. The big one is so big and vicious that keeping it indoors where it is going to drop its prickles is not an option with pets and my granddaughter likely to fall foul of it. It's also very heavy so it doesn't get moved very often.
