Food Photography

This week on A Year With My Camera it's experimentation time.  So far as food photography is concerned I haven't a clue.  All I know is that it can get cold while you faff around with a camera.  Hence the cucumber (cold already).  I did try converting it to black and white to fit in with Mono Monday, but it looked revolting.  How do people who are colour blind manage to eat properly?
