Sunny today....

...so been sitting on my thatched swing early this morning, and then transferred to potting shed when the icy wind got up a bit.

Popeye has been sitting on me pretty much all day. He doesn't like me doing things. Every time I get up he is trying to persuade me to sit down again. It was lovely this afternoon dozing in the potting shed.

But I needed to do something for my picture a day entry for today. I had some scraps of 4 inch by 4 inch card to hand, some tissue paper that was wrapped round a gift in aeons past, a glue stick, and that stack of watercolours I posted the other day, and a few of those brushes that were already filled with water. So what to do?

I scrunched the tissue paper up, used the glue stick, and stuck it on the card. Then I got the watercolours, and painted pictures on top of the scrunched tissue paper...all without disturbing Popeye! Except I needed the bathroom, and he was most disgruntled when I lifted him off...

Here are four I did. Each of these are just 4 inches by 4 inches. Only tiny. Actually I did five but one is blinking awful. So this is for my pic today, for my challenge to myself of a pic every day in 2017.

I did another four pieces of card with tissue on, but there wasn't quite enough so two just had a piece of scrunched tissue across the middle. I will paint those tomorrow sometime...probably...
