Muddy Boots
One of the problems with living in an apartment is cleaning muddy boots - particularly if, like me, you do a lot of hiking and also do voluntary gardening once or twice a week. I always have a least one pair of muddy boots drying out or waiting to be washed.
The idea of buying some plastic trays, large enough to accommodate a pair of boots on their sides, has proved to be a great idea - you can just fill the tray with water to soften the mud and then use the same trays in the car to keep the mud of the carpet.
There's no rest from this though - my gardening boots will get another covering of mud tomorrow and then I'm sure I'll be out hiking again later in the week. So far one pair of gardening boots and two pairs of hiking boots have proved to be enough, but I have bought 4 of these plastic trays to leave room for 'expansion' ;-)
Good to be home but it was a great weekend away with family and friend :-)
