The Sun

Different image today but not a good one. The atmosphere was quite turbulent making it difficult to get a sharp image. There are some sunspots at about 7 o clock and a large prominence at about 8 o clock, probably over 50,000km high. The image was taken with a HA telescope designed for looking at the sun. A normal telescope or binoculars must never be used for looking at the sun as they will blind you in a few seconds.
