Arrivals.
Summer migrants are flooding in. Reports of Chiffchaff, Wheatear, Swallow, Ring Ouzel, Willow Warbler and Sand Martin are increasing day by day. It is only a matter of time before Pied Flycatchers arrive, and we have been asked to report sightings at Longshaw so that the rangers know to remove bungs from the nest boxes, which this particular species seems to favour.
Our garden visits from a badger have resumed over the last few nights, as shown on my camera trap. Last night, he demolished the peanuts I'd put out with his rear facing the camera, then proceeded to demolish the camera. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some live views of him before too long.
