Spring weather

A balmy day. Washing dried outside, reading in the sunshine. People walking by the river in Appleby, some doing more than walking. A pity it’s just boys here, but I liked the action. And don’t worry; the river is much wider than it looks here – there’s no fear that the stones were going anywhere but in the water. And they soon ran out of stones anyway. Still lots of daffodils about – I’m sure we’ve had more than usual.

Not sure what to make of the Bailey’s shortlist – strange, but that’s not unusual. I have read two of them, only one of which I would have put on a shortlist. Oh well!
