Tall modern buildings

Went for a walk down to the waterfront before catching a cab out to the airport. Each time we come to San Fransisco there are more tall buildings but l must say none that l find particularly inspirational. I spent some time yesterday chatting to an old school friend of son M. She is just starting her starting her last year at architectural school here and agreed that the buildings were not avant guarde. Planning permission is difficult, everybody within a certain distance has a say on a building at planning permission stage.
I rather liked the new green leaves contrasting with the glass of this First Republic Bank building.
