Medical appointment on M Street near Georgetown. This is the Fairmont Hotel (formerly the Westin), where I stayed on my first ever visit to Washington, almost exactly 19 years ago. It was a work trip and my boss at the time was going through a divorce and as a result was behaving like a giant arsehole - which in part is why I decided to leave the organisation. But I liked the town, and so the job I moved onto was based here. The rest, as they say, is history.
