First calf 2017

Morag has had the first calf for this year. A nice big boy calf called Steven I think. Husband was sure one of the other cows (Goldilocks) was going to calve last night. She is first time calver so up at first light to check her and she hadn't done anything, and still hasn't!! 

In the lambing field we have had two sets of Shetland twins and a ewe with lamb with a leg back we lambed at lunchtime. Put out yesterday's lamb and the day before all looking good there. In between all this excitement we patched a bit of fence on the in bye that 3 ewes had escaped from. Coaxed them back with a bag of feed thankfully. Hopefully they will stay in now. Tired tonight!!!
