Fun in the park

I had a trip to London this afternoon and evening, so the husband was on duty.  To make sure he had a good afternoon, I had a visit to the park before my train to get the toddler and baby nice and tired ready for a good afternoon sleep.

The eldest had a lovely time exploring all the different things to do and having admired the new tarmac, the council paid a visit and quizzed me about what I thought of the new surface.

Then off to London for a couple of meetings.  As I waited for my delayed train, the announcement came over the tannoy to say there was no reserved seating, so my seat in the quiet coach was gone.  And as these things happen, the drunk trio on the platform ended up sat behind me, adding colour (or colourful language) to my journey.  I learnt quite a bit about their lives over the hour or so I was on the train!

Couple of very good meetings, one for some work and one for a committee, which was really interesting.  I think my husband is pleased as I've got more conversation than either talking about what was on the radio or telling him the latest gossip from playgroup.
