Highball !

For you folks that might think we are talking about cocktails - you might want to quit reading now, and just head on down to your favorite watering hole. In this case we are talking about old railroad semaphore signals.

I found this old semaphore signal in a neighborhood not far from my own. The only peculiar thing is that this signal is no where near any operating railroad. This signal stands close to 20-25 feet in height!

Evidently, someone decided to pour a little patch of concrete and mount it in the front yard of their home.

I have no history on this. I can only assume that the owner is a railroad fan.
