Bright Lights, Summer In The City . . .
The CN Tower stands bright in the Toronto night sky. (See larger image) The city has had its hottest summer for many years, with just one day of rain during the 18 days of the city's just-concluded Canadian National Exhibition, (See recent Blip) held every year since 1879. Good planning; yesterday - the day after the CNE closed - the city was drenched with the biggest one-day fall of rain for 31 years.
Now we're braced for winter which we're hoping will be as mild last year with little snow and ice, but we've been warned to expect foul weather.
Global warming seems to be with us. Like a fairground rollercoaster. Except we can't get off . . .
