Tiny leaf

".....the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf,
While the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough
In England - now."



...popped into my head this morning when I saw this by the gate on my way out.   Though of course it is birch and I am in Scotland but at least the April part is right, and Browning fits on almost any occasion.
