Lush Greens at Coleton Fishacre

We took Elly and Oscar to Coleton Fishacre which was the country home of the D'Oyley Carte family built in the 1920s in the Arts and Crafts style. It's looked after by the National Trust and they're doing Easter Egg hunts for children over the holiday period. It really is a lovely place, the house is gorgeous and the extensive garden is beautifully kept with lots of paths to walk and great sea views.

The kids ran about with lots for them to do including finding the answers to entitle them to the chocolate rabbit that they picked up as we went out (it was paid for on entrance, of course).
We adults enjoyed it tremendously and will return after the Easter holidays when the acers and azeleas wil be in full bloom and we will do some of the paths we didn't get to today.

It's been a beautiful warm day with light breezes and was ideal for this kind of activity. We stopped off at Brixham for a walk along the breakwater before returning the kids home.

Wideangle Wednesday is hosted by BobsBlips, many thanks to him. Theme for April is A or L so that's stretched me a bit but I think if I say the subject matter is Lush Greens that'll get me out of that scrape.
There are a few more here if you'd like to see them.
