NHS in crisis

A long day of meetings. Some productive others less so. One of the local practices is desperately short of staff and a huge amount of effort has been spent this week trying to support it from our overworked and shrinking pool of GPs. It's a similar problem all over the UK and practices are closing all over the place. I cannot see General Practice in its present configuration being sustainable much longer. I got a bit grumpy today but my overall feeling is one of sadness.
