Philomena has a snack

Dear Diary,

Philly must getting really tired of waking up from her winter nap and finding it is still winter!  She must be completely confounded by it all.  The good news is yesterday's storm turned out to be all rain and more rain is due today so that means more melting.  By next Tuesday we will be in the mid-70'sF!  Now that is hard to believe but Philly and I have toes and fingers crossed that they are right.

This time last year I had daffodils in the garden!  In fact, my post on this day last year shows a robin hopping around on the bare ground looking for worms!  Winter just doesn't seem to want to leave us but it will, eventually.  With all our fretting and worry, all we really need to do is to sit quietly and wait.  Nature will take care of everything.  The grass will grow and the flowers will bloom with no help from us.  Patience is my word for the year and it is certainly getting lots of practice!
