Day 096/17. You make your own luck....

One of the speakers at our photographic club said recently that as photographers we frequently make our own luck. Well, that certainly happened today. I was sitting on our decking enjoying a post-lunch coffee, with the big lens ready, aiming to capture a picture of an aircraft overhead.
Then one of our Jays appeared and obligingly sat and posed for a few shots, probably 20 ft away. This is the best of those shots. Normally very shy birds, our pair seem to be quite confident around us now.
