The Rarest of the Rare!

I have visited this beautiful magnolia for several years but never seem to see it at it's best. It is Magnolia Sinica (Chinese Magnolia) one of the world's most endangered species and is to be found in St Andrews Botanic Gardens.
Another magnolia (Officinalis)which can be found in the greenhouse is becoming endangered because of the use of its bark in Chinese medicine.
