Dolores water tank ready / almost

Sprayed the model yesterday and did spray on a base coat of weathering. Today I went to town with my pan pastels to show the discoloration caused by the long winters and freezing on the tank, I used the color photos from 1950 to follow - not that a soul will see the difference but me I think.

The tank spricket is on the metal base. Last step is to mount it, assembly the electronics inside the tank, and string up the scale wire/chain that will raise and lower the spicket. Hopefully! When it is on the layout and operating I will post a video.
