Sparrow in a spin

We have this bird bath just outside of the dinning room window and it is continually being emptied of water by a bunch of hooligan sparrows with their over enthusiastic showering routines. We have up to six bathing at one time, but seemingly never when I have the camera poised!.

They have to watch out because we have a resident sparrowhawk who lives nearby and we have seen many meet their end as we sit eating dinner.


Perhaps our hawk likes his meals freshly washed!!
