"They are only for gardening"

Almost every time we visit the Grandchildren there is a pile of sewing to be done. So today instead of sewing on buttons or putting in knee patches or lengthening school trousers, I tried to sort out the frayed hems of trousers that S wears for gardening. Although they are now slightly shorter they will do for gardening.
