Maisie had her check up at the vet's today and was deemed to be well on the mend (it still looks pretty grim, but shows no sign of infection). At my rather hysterical meeting with the owner and manager of the dog park on Tuesday it was *finally* agreed that they'd cover the cost of the vet (nearly £150 by the end of the treatment) rather than me having to mess about getting it in instalments from the guilty dog owner. True to her word, we rang from the vet's and the bill was immediately settled.

I needed to go to the dog park to drop off the paperwork - and as there were just small and friendly dogs there I thought I'd see how Maisie was - and she had a lovely time.

In the afternoon I gave the lawn its second cut of the year. Here's Maisie and me having a well deserved rest after all my work and all her watching.
