Friday with Fiona

We missed a couple of weeks but picked Fiona up from school today and went to paint a ceramic piece for her Mom for her birthday.     Can’t spoil the birthday present but wanted to get the red and blue hair for “crazy hair” day at school today… It was also “Read In” day  so the kids brought pillows, blankets  and books and spent a lot of time with those.  (sounds wonderful to me!)   She brought a book from the library, " the Day the Crayons came Home"  the seguel to one we have , “the Day the Crayons Quit” by Drew Daywalt which has been a favorite and today she decided to write her own “ The Day the Crayons weren’t there” book.  which took a long time.  and I had to read at least 10 times.  along with the Daywalt one.  Now I’m sure her Mom and Dad are reading it too.  maybe several times,....   When she left she said maybe next time she is here we could write another book “the day the crayons were back”… I’m sure she will remember!
